North Macedonia won with the first and Kosovo with the second!

Nikola Kacarski (MKD) scored at the buzzer for 13-12, however after the objection submitted by Kosovo, the basket was ruled out of time.

Twenty minutes later after the video of the last phase was scrutinized, the two teams returned to the field for overtime in which Mirlind Zekaj scored in a “sudden death” game to give Kosovo a 14-12 victory.

“This is the wild beauty of basketball and sports,” commented the 22-year-old hero of the game, who plays professionally for Istog.

“I got the ball and I didn’t have time to think about anything else. I shot and what happened, happened. Since the basket of our opponents was cancelled disallowed, we had a second chance and of course a new big motivation to win. I feel very happy and proud of myself, my team and my country.”
