With seven countries participating, the Men’s Beach Soccer Tournament kicks off on Saturday (9/9), at the Karteros Beach Sports Center, in the first official game acticity of the 3rd Mediterranean Beach Games in Heraklion.
Greece, Spain, Morocco, France, Portugal, Italy and Egypt will take part in the tournament, divided into two groups.
The group stage, with three rounds of matches, will be completed on Monday (11/9), while the final stage will be played on Tuesday (12/9).
The match between Italy, the gold medal holders in the two previous Games (Catania and Patras), and Egypt raise the curtain on the event, in a match for the Group B. The match will start at 9.00. In the first matchday of the group, Portugal has a day off.
For Group A, the opening match starts at 10.30, in a clash between Spain and Morocco. At 12.00 noon, the second match of the group will follow, with a European flavour, where hosts Greece will face France, that won the bronze medal in Patras.
